So I’m very happy for this party, Bobbito Garcia is one of the most humble and nice hip hop personnality, in my opinion. He did so much for Hip Hop and still does. I met him for the first time in Paris for a Free Your Funk party, went to pick him and Rich Medina(a really nice person as well that “invited” me at one of the Q-tip friday party at Santos, appreciated it a lot, had a fun time) to the airport with Emmanuel (the big boss with Denis of Free Your Funk, they do a really great work in Paris to set parties and shows). Rich and Bobbito did a party in Paris, it was really too bad that not much people came to this party because it was my best party ever. The selection was DOPE, they didn’t stay playing hip hop for 1 hour then latin music for another hour, no no no they mixed everything 2 or 3 hip hop songs then 2 or 3 soul songs etc, I was happy to have different kind of music like this + Rich and Bobbito have such a great energy on stage, it’s a real pleasure! I had a lot of fun + danced all night long (what I usualy don’t do!). I saw him when i went back to nyc in June, Bobbito showed me and my friend a good jamaican spot in Harlem + gave us some good spot for sneakers! Looking foward to see him again this weekend!
I met Dj Spinna for a Free Your Funk party, went to pick him up as well. They did a party at Le Bataclan (see the videos below) with Dj Jazzy Jeff. It was a crazy day and night. I spent a lot of time at the hotel waiting (I basicaly drive artists around before the show or party), had some good talk with Dj Spinna that nicely filled up my Itouch, it was in May, he gave me his album (that I kept nicely for myself lol) + some Stevie Wonder stuff.
So here we are, Stevie Wonder ! Bobbito Garcia and Dj Spinna are going to do the Wonder-full party in PARIS FOR THE FIRST TIME! It will be at the same place that Dj Jazzy Jeff and Spinna did the party in May, as you can see a nice big place!
