I just found this video on Lichiban‘s blog (Damn I MISS NYC ! I want to go back live there…). This is a live video at the VONY benefit show in tribeca, where Bilal and Jesse Boykins III performed (we really need that in France… If only artists asked a little less money – flight + hotel + cabs + food + the perfomence = too much money).
So I knew Jesse Boykins III from my friend Jamal. Jamal was actualy crazy about this singer, he couldn’t stop telling us to listen to the album. So did I. The album is good, i liked it but I wasn’t crazy about it either. I didn’t even try to look what he could do on stage because I didn’t even know he was doing shows. Looking at Lichiban’s blog, I was surprised to find this video, the guy is good looking, with lot of good energy and is actully really good on stage! I hope I will see him in France soon (if you read us Jesse

Je viens juste de trouver cette video sur le blog de Lichiban (NYC me manque !!!). C’est une video live d’un concert à Tribeca (Vony benefic show) où ont joué Jesse Boykins III et Bilal (vous ne me contredirez pas sur le fait que nous avons besoin de plus de concert comme ceci en France!).
J’ai entendu parlé de ce chanteur il y a quelque temps grâce à mon ami Jamal qui n’arrêtait pas de nous dire d’écouter son album. Jamal était alors fou de ce Jesse Boykins III, nous répétant que c’était LE chanteur du moment. Chose faite, j’ai écouté l’album, je l’ai trouvé bon mais pas exceptionnel. Cependant, en tombant par hasard sur cette video, je suis assez charmé par le jeune homme, il assure sur scène et a beaucoup de bonnes énergies !
Peut-être que nous le verrons bientôt en France
